Star Trek Porn?????

It was only a matter of time. Question is will you watch it? Personally I can't have something mess with my vision of Trek. But I know many guys who will have to.

The Star Trek universe is about to get a bit steamier, with news of the first porn movie starring Captain Kirk and Mr Spock.

Porn magazine Hustler is making the film, which begins filming next month, according to media reports.

It will star Evan Stone and Tony DeSergio as Kirk and Spock respectively and will be released on DVD.

This Ain't Star Trek XXX is the latest in a larger project to turn classic TV shows into porn movies.

Other films in the project include Not Three's Company XXX and This Ain't Happy Days XXX.

The news comes just days before the new official Star Trek film, directed by JJ Abrams, is launched in New Zealand at a glitzy red carpet ceremony.

Stars including Karl Urban, Chris Pine, John Cho and Zachary Quinto will appear at the event, to be held at Skycity Cinemas on Queen Street in Auckland.

The film will be released in cinemas on May 7.

Life Goes on in Space

Here's an interesting little item that kind of brings the Final Frontier .... well, back to earth. It's about .... The SPACE BATHROOM! http://www.space.com/common/media/video/player.php?videoRef=SP_090303_expedition18 - Think about it - on Star Trek, Star Wars, Space 1999, StarGate, Dune, Alien (you get the idea) - no one talks about the Space Bathroom.

With the exception of Commander Data who has an excuse, what's the deal. Can you imagine Captain Kirk exiting the commode in 10 Forward and saying to Sulu - "Don't go in there.." - well, maybe not Sulu - but you know what I mean. I think in one episode you see Kirk bare-topped with a towel over his shoulder (I think it's The Enemy Within - someone confirm?).

Anyway - not that this is something I would recommend, but picture Spock, Uhura, Janeway, Picard or Counselor Troi - sitting on the Bowl. What do you see them doing?

Okay - maybe just settle for clicking the above link and suspending disbelief for now!

Space Station Evacuated

Just as a mission was launched???

What's up with that?

"Talk about scary close calls: The crew of the International Space Station briefly evacuated their floating home today to avoid the possibility of space debris hitting the craft. The move was just a precaution, but it did mobilize the crew to enter the Soyuz capsule. The debris may have been an old motor from the station itself."

Evacuate to where?

It just goes to show - the men and women doing this job have some brass you know whats.
